Today on my day off we made a trip back to the British Museum. I had missed the best part. The place is huge so it doesn't surprise me I missed a room. I was in love. Best part of the museum by far. So glad I made an effort to go back and see it.
Interesting story behind these. Its stories of the lion hunt. They would usually catch the lions though and have them in cages, then they would bring them to the arena and have them released for the king to kill. He would have men lure the lions towards him and finish the job. He has these made to look so strong and mighty, but really it was hunting in a controlled area.
The roof in this museum was amazing itself. I can't believe how in love with London I am.
